RVI Fellow Awarded Peacewriter Prize

alyverjeeThe Rift Valley Institute is pleased to announce that RVI Fellow, Aly Verjee, has been awarded the 2019 Oslo Forum Peacewriter Prize for his article, ‘Monitoring Ceasefires is Getting Harder: Greater Innovation is Required’. Aly Verjee is currently a Visiting Expert at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). He is a teacher on RVI’s Sudan and South Sudan Course and most recently contributed to the RVI briefing, ‘After the Khartoum Agreement: Boundary Making and the 32 States in South Sudan’, which discusses the history of boundary-making in South Sudan, and the prospects for the new boundary commissions to resolve underlying disagreements.
