Anna Rowett was the Head of Office for the Rift Valley Institute in South Sudan for seven years between 2017 and 2024. During her time at the Institute, she developed the Institute’s presence in the country and oversaw a variety of projects including research on customary authorities, the South Sudan National Archives, and professional development of early career researchers. Anna has lived in South Sudan since 2012 and previously worked with various NGOs and with UNESCO. She currently runs Imatong Employment Solutions the company she established in 2015 with business partners, which seeks to support the development of fair and transparent human resources services in South Sudan and promote national talent.
